OUR MIDDLE DISTILLATE FLOW IMPROVERS
In winter, middle distillates can be sensitive to low temperatures, leading to the formation of paraffin crystals that clog the feed circuit filters. This situation leads to performance losses, potentially causing the failure of fixed and mobile engines and boilers.
We offer a highly effective technical solution to the problem of middle distillate cold operability with the help of our Middle Distillate Flow Improvers so as to address your four principal constraints.
OUR CLOUD POINT DEPRESSANT ADDITIVES
Our cloud point additives are mixtures of polymers which delay the crystal germination. These chemical increases the solubility of waxes which, when lowering temperatures, tend to precipitate out the solution.
OUR COLD FILTER PLUGGING POINT (CFPP) ADDITIVES
CFPP additives are mixtures of ethylene copolymers. These additives are not designed to prevent the formation of crystals, but rather to control their size, the kinetics of their growth and their shape. In fact, they tend to promote the formation of a larger number of smaller-sized crystal rather than a small number of large ones. By delaying the formation of a crystal network, they allow the fuel to continue to flow (avoiding filters and lines blockages and permitting the normal operation at low temperatures).
OUR POUR POINT DEPRESSANTS
These additives are also mixtures of polymers dissolved in an aromatic solvent. They are used to avoid the formation then growth of a three-dimensional crystal network.
OUR WASA ADDITIVES (WAX ANTI-SETTLING ADDITIVES)
These additives are mixtures of dispersant polymers that slow down the settling of paraffin crystals that form during storage of middle distillates at low temperature. They are particularly recommended for prolonged and/or low temperature storage.
These additives are generally used in addition to CFPP additives. This property is a specification in the "diesel oil" standards, in particular German and South-Korean standards.
OUR WAFI ADDITIVES (WAX ANTI-SETTLING ADDITIVES AND FLOW IMPROVER)
These additives are a mixture of CFPP and WASA additives. The CFPP action is thus maintained over a longer period, guaranteeing optimum operability in very low-temperature areas. Not only is crystal growth and crystal network formation delayed, but the paraffin is kept in solution during low-temperature storage of middle distillates.
